Black Berry, Sweet Juice

I really like Lawrence Hill as an author and think he is quite a bright guy, so when I heard he had a book on what he thinks it means to be black or white in Canadian society I couldn't help but give it a read. This was a good book! It doesn’t speak specifically to the adoption experience, but it still has a lot of valuable reflection on racism in Canada. It is mostly his own personal perspective but he does include some other perspectives gained from interviews with friends, family and other Canadians.
